Add a little pizzaz to your holiday attire with orGLAMic baubles from handmade jewelry line Elva Fields.  Since 2003, designer Emily Wheat Maynard has scoured local and far-flung markets, auctions, and shops for unusual vintage and antique pieces.  The treasured finds are then reconfigured and incorporated in unexpected, timeless designs that are sure to make any orGLAMic reader squeal with delight.  The earrings pictured above are made of faceted vintage brass beads clustered together to create a big and bold look to any outfit.  Personally, I think they would look great with a black cowl neck sweater and jeans combo and hair in a casual, messy updo.  Click here to browse the collections for orGLAMic finds, or here to locate a local retailer near you.

DLCOnce in a while I find an orGLAMic product that I absolutely have to write about right away!  The repurposed vintage baubles by Dirty Librarian Chains are one of those love-at-first-sight items.  Uber-talented designer Susan Domelsmith deconstructs and reconfigures vintage chains, through draping, knotting and tangling, into new designs that can be worn with everything from a black formal gown (perfection!) to a white T-shirt and jeans (double perfection!)  Click here to browse the current collection, which includes necklaces, bracelets, rings, sunglass chains and cinchers. Available internationally in shops such as Harvey Nichol’s and Filly,  you can snag a made-to-order orGLAMic piece for yourself by clicking here.

Picture 8If your father is more of a suit and tie kind of guy, why not help spruce up his wardrobe with an orGLAMic piece by Kirsten Muenter?  The San Francisco-based jeweler creates a wide variety of jewelry made from a wide range of eco-conscious materials.  Using mostly repurposed and found objects (from bowling balls to vintage pearl jewelry,) in addition to stones bough from small family owned mines, the designer insists that we be conscious consumers while enjoying her beautiful orGLAMic pieces.  In addition, all the sterling silver in her latest line is 100% recycled content.  My favorite orGLAMic item on the website are these one-of-a-kind cufflinks made of fossilized dinosaur bone and recycled sterling silver.  Click here to browse the entire orGLAMic collection.
