It is so exciting to see companies celebrating Earth Day (tomorrow, April 22nd) in full force this year!  While I would love to list all the amazing events going on in cities nationwide, we will continue to focus on one orGLAMic product daily and hope that you’ll check out the sites run by Earth Day Network, Tree Hugger, Planet Green to find how you can help celebrate Earth Day orGLAMically!

Back to our regularly scheduled programming, we bring you tasty Sprinkles cupcakes!  In honor of Earth Day, from April 20th-24th Sprinkles is donating 100% of the proceeds from it’s vanilla cupcakes to local tree planting and environmental care organizations.  Last year, Sprinkles raised $3,000 for TreePeople, $2,700 for the Surfrider Foundation and $3,250 for the Texas Tree Foundation.  Click here to find your local Sprinkles location and go orGLAMic while filling your tummy with sugary goodness!

picture-3Aviator Nation is the essence of laid back California cool.  Their casual-wear pieces, including hoodies, sweatpants and t-shirts are made in Los Angeles with the environment in mind.  Everything in this orGLAMic line is made from a blend of organic cotton and recycled polyester, and I love the company’s ethics.  Each year Aviator Nation chooses a cause to raise awareness for and they dedicate a collection of the line to that cause.  This year the cause is HIV/AIDS in Africa, and they’ve teamed up with an organization in Kenya called Comfort The Children.  They will donate $10 from each piece of the Africa collection sold to Kenya’s Kijabe hospital, with the money going directly to buying the antiretroviral medication people with HIV/AIDS need to survive.  Click here to check out their orGLAMic website.

I am totally obsessed with Back To School shopping.  It’s a little sad considering I am 27 and haven’t been in school in over 6 years, but I hold on tight to fond memories of spending FOREVER picking out the perfect accessories to get my learn on.  Think Lisa Frank and Trapper Keeper…

But while neon colored tigers and unicorns might not make the cut these days, these Boon Accordion Files definitely do. They are made from 100% pulp-free, handmade paper that is produced by a paper making program in the Philippines whose proceeds support education and a local women’s shelter.  Buy these charitable and equally orGLAMic additions to any office by clicking here.

While shopping for little Evan, the newest addition to my orGLAMic extended family, I came across Little Twig bath products.  This reasonably priced line of bath care includes shampoo, baby wash, baby oil, baby powder, and much more.  All their products are made with organic and botanical ingredients that you can actually pronounce!  They also support recycling, by offering a 30% off your next purchase when returning empty bottles to the company.  If that isn’t enough incentive, you should hurry up and click here, because 20% of online profits are being donated to Los Angeles House of Ruth.  Tres orGLAMic!
