Longtime eco-designers Karen Stewart and Howard Brown have caught my eye with Stewart+Brown‘s Early Spring 2010 collection!  All of the companies designs are eco-conscious, including the gorgeous Winslet Long Cardigan pictured above.  Made of Mongolian cashmere (is the perfect light topper to a springtime dress or silk tank and jean combo.  The Mongolian cashmere used throughout the line is made of hand-combed fibers and is harvested, spun and knit in Mongolia to reduce environmental impact.  With the Late Spring 2010 collection also available, you are sure to find an orGLAMic piece for your wardrobe by just clicking here.

Bundle up in style this holiday season with this orGLAMic sweater from Stewart+Brown.  Always a staple for organic basics, I was delighted to stumble upon the tres fashionable Ladder Stitch Cardigan.  This 100% cashmere cardigan is made with fibers hand-combed from the downy undercoat of cashmere goats residing on the remote, rugged steppe of Outer Mongolia.  The company harvests, spins and knits their cashmere designs in Mongolia in an effort to avoid environmentally damaging desertification due to overgrazing, and to help sustain the centuries-old Mongolian herders’ nomadic way of life.  Featured in the November issue of Vogue, I apparently am not the only one loving this orGLAMic piece – click here to see Michelle Williams modeling the cardigan!  Or click here to purchase your very own.

burningtorchSometimes, companies offer such great products that they get an orGLAMic shout-out more than once!  Burning Torch is one of those companies.  Last year, I couldn’t resist their recycled cashmere striped sweaters for men, and today the chill in the Southern California air is making me think about how great a Recycled Cashmere Hoodie would feel.  There are 30 styles of sweaters -from cardigans to vests- that are made out of repurposed, vintage cashmere.  Click here to browse the women’s selection and here for the men’s options.  Either way, these orGLAMic fashions are sure to keep you (and loved ones, if you’re already holiday shopping!) orGLAMically warm.

viridisluxeThis wacky LA weather has me confused on what to wear.  Luckily Viridis Luxe offers beautiful lightweight sweaters among their orGLAMic clothing.  Most of the eco-company’s line is made out of their signature organic fabric made of fine cashmere interwoven with long-fiber hemp.  Hemp is known for it’s anti-microbial properties and that fact that it is highly resistant to insects. It never requires the use of herbicides, pesticides or chemical fertilizers, thus eliminating groundwater pollution due to run-off and reducing our dependence on petroleum products such as petrochemical fertilizers.  Bundle up orGLAMically by clicking here.

Burning Torch

There is NOTHING, and I mean abosolutely NOTHING, more orGLAMic than recycled cashmere.  I mean, looking good, having the wonderful feeling of cashmere on, and recycling all at the same time?!  Burning Torch has other orGLAMic clothing on their website as well, but one of my faves was this men’s v-neck (and the model that comes along with it! haha).  Check out all their eco-friendly offerings by clicking here.

I’m in the mood for love over here at orGLAMic, so here is a fun little undies posting for all you ladies! My new favorite is Mya Underwear by g=9.8 They are made from recycled white pine-tree pruning and are super sexy and orGLAMic at the same time. I hear that recycled white pine-tree pruning is as soft as silk with the feel of cashmere, sounds just about right for skivvies made in a small village in France. Oh, and as Kim Kardashian recently pointed out to us over here at Hollywood Green with Maria Menounos – you can step it up a notch in the green department by showering with your significant other! Check out the entire line of Mya Underwear by clicking here.
