picture-3One of my favorites since middle school, The Body Shop has always provided an inexpensive, natural alternative to conventional (and chemical ridden) skincare and makeup in stores.  And while I used my fair share of their shimmery stuff when I was 12, I am now more of a fan of the more simple, orGLAMic products like the Unfragranced Massage Oil.  Made of community trade organic soy, marula and olive oils, this product keep skin supple and moist, while moisturizing, conditioning and softening skin.  And or course, there is no better reason than to ask for a massage than to try out a new product, right?! Click here to purchase and browse all the orGLAMic products offered by The Body Shop.

solarshojiWhile the idea of solar lanterns are far from new, they are generally not bright enough to light an evening patio BBQ.  Luckily these beautiful Solar Shoji Lanterns are up to the task, and actually collect enough sunlight during the day to power a bright glow once the sun goes down.  These lanterns are lit by a AAA battery that is charged by solar power.  Inspired by traditional Asian lanterns, I love the simple orGLAMic look of these and the fact that they can be reused endlessly.  And hanging these orGLAMic lanterns throughout your patio is not only eco-friendly, but also helps eliminate unsightly electrical cords and the fire hazard of candles.  Click here to order.

picture-2With summer on the horizon, orGLAMic sundresses galore keep catching my attention.  I love the entire Spring 2009 collection by Gina Michele which is made out of sustainable textiles such as bamboo jersey and organic cotton. The “This Side of Paradise” dress, pictured above, is one of my favorites of the season.  I like the right-on-trend nude colors and the attention to detail with the pintucking and feminine cut.  There is nothing more carefree or orGLAMic than slipping this on with a pair of sandals and hitting the oudoors!  Click here to view the entire Gina Michelle collection and find a retailer carrying her line near you.

harveysHarveys, known for their famous ‘seatbelt bags’ has a little known Treecycle Collection that is positively orGLAMic.  All the bags in the Treecycle Collection are made out of 100% recycled, scrap seatbelts and are lined with sustainable hemp fabric printed with water-based inks.  My favorite is the Large Boat Tote, pictured above.  The shape and classic colors make the bag perfect for a quick weekend getaway, picnic in the park or day at the beach.  The durability of the bag, and the fact that it will last for decades make it more orGLAMic than ever.  Click here to check out the bag pictured above and browse the other orGLAMic options.
