Those of you that have been reading orGLAMic for a while know that I am nuts about Design Within Reach.  Now I present you with just one more reason I think this design retailer is the tops: the Emeco Kong chair designed by Philippe Starck.  This armchair (also available as a bar stool with or without arm rests) is made from 80% recycled aluminum and has a sleek orGLAMic look that I love.  We all know that recycling is important, but did you realize that making new aluminum takes 20 times more energy than recycling it does? Get your butt into orGLAMic gear today by clicking here!

Elezar

Retail therapy does a soul good (as I displayed emphatically this weekend!) and now the ONLY thing missing from my fall wardrobe is this tote from Elezar’s Vivi collection.  The entire Vivi collection is vegan and biodegradable, and is still made in Italy with the fine craftsmanship that Elezar is known for.  I personally like the distressed brown tote pictured above and, as always, am drawn to the bright gold hardware.  I love that it is now possible to be eco-chic and still on top of all the trends.  There is an orGLAMic bag for everyone, so click here to check them out.

Square One

In an effort to get you through the first presidential debate tonight, may I suggest a STRONG drink made from Square One vodka?  Square One was the first vodka to be certified 100% when it was founded in 2005.  Since then, many others have jumped on the orGLAMic bandwagon, but I always try to support pioneers.  Or that’s what I keep telling myself everytime I HAVE to order another cocktail to try the latest vodka flavor.  Check out Square One vodka, and some tasty orGLAMic recipes, by clicking here.

Burning Torch

There is NOTHING, and I mean abosolutely NOTHING, more orGLAMic than recycled cashmere.  I mean, looking good, having the wonderful feeling of cashmere on, and recycling all at the same time?!  Burning Torch has other orGLAMic clothing on their website as well, but one of my faves was this men’s v-neck (and the model that comes along with it! haha).  Check out all their eco-friendly offerings by clicking here.

Morocco

These adorable stuffed animal cushions by Morocco are the ideal gift for a little loved one. They are fair trade and handmade by Moroccan artisans in Marrakech who use local and recycled materials, providing much needed employment to economically fragile communities.  I love that a company as large as FAO Schwartz is carrying these orGLAMic products, and the more we buy and support endeavors such as these the more we will be able to find!  Click here to purchase these pillow pals.

Inspired by last nights mandatory catching up of Gossip Girls, I present this amazing jacket by Myth and Ritual. Just looking at it makes me wish I was living in NY in the fall – and of course that I looked like Blake Lively and was as loaded as The Duchess.  I love the orGLAMic colors, fabric detail and belt that pulls everything together.  Myth and Ritual clothing is made under fair trade conditions, and while I couldn’t find the specifics on this jacket, the company does use organic cotton in the composition of most of their garments.  Check out the entire orGLAMic line by clicking here.

With all the traveling that I’ve been doing, I wish that I had had Young Living Essential Oils with me to combat the sneezing kid and the snoring old man breathing all over me all the way from JFK to LAX.  But enough about me – this company makes a huge variety of homeopathic oils out of plants that they grow themselves organically. ImmuPower, shown above, is on sale for 10% off if you order before October 15th, and is described as creating a “fragrant and protective haven while increasing positive energy”.  If that is too Puff-the-magic-dragoney for you, check out the many orGLAMic varieties available on their website by clicking here.

If I didn’t love this product and the people over at Kiehl’s so much than I would still probably post this picture of Brad Pitt in post-Katrina New Orleans up on orGLAMic.  But, luckily today I can post this tres sexy pic AND tell you about Kiehl’s latest product,  the “Aloe Vera” Biodegradable Liquid Body Cleanser.  I love that this body wash is biodegradable and free of parabens, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate and dyes.  It is gentle on the skin and is perfectly lightly scented (thanks Sara for sending me a bottle to test out!).  In addition 100% of net proceeds benefit JPF Eco Systems, a charity formed by Brad Pitt and Kiehl’s to support Global Environmental Initiatives.  Click here to support a great cause and bathe yourself in orGLAMic bliss…oh sorry, started thinking about Brad again…
