While these wacky colorful bags aren’t something I would usually post here on orGLAMic (in case you haven’t noticed I prefer clean, sleek lines and generally boring colors ;), I am obsessed with the website behind these messenger-type bags and had to share!  Freitag bags are made of reclaimed, heavy-duty vintage truck tarps.  They come in all sorts of bold colors and patterns and the best part is that you can design your own on the company’s website.  Unleash your inner Picasso and create and original, one-of-a-kind, orGLAMic bag here.

Make sure there are no unwanted stray hairs with Tweezerman’s Go Green Mini Tweezers.  Known for their precision and life-time warranty, Tweezerman now has a miniature version of their slant tweezers.  While they aren’t organic, you’ve gotta love that $1.00 of the sale of these “Go Green” mini slant tweezers is donated to the Arbor Foundation and that with every “Go Green” Tweezer purchased a new tree is planted.  Purchase one of my personal orGLAMic faves by clicking here.

First West Elm and now CB2…I clearly spent this past weekend flipping through catalogs by the pool! I’ve always been a sucker for CB2 -Crate and Barrel’s younger, hipper, more modern cousin- but I was thrilled to see that they are beginning to carry some eco-friendly products. For those of you with children, nothing is cuter, yet still orGLAMic, than the mosaic recycled placemats pictured above. These would also be great under Fido’s food bowls. The 100% recycled mats are actually juice boxes shredded, compressed, re-freshed, and are one of a kind. They are water- and moisture-resistant, and won’t crack, splinter or chip. I’ll admit it – I am a sucker for anything monogrammed. It must be my Capitol Hill upbringing longing to make an appearance in my Los Angeles life! I could hardly contain myself when I saw that West Elm’s new organic line offered this pure organic cotton sheet set with personalization. And woven to a 300-thread count sateen? Uber orGLAMic! Check out the entire line of organic products by clicking here. Hmm…now what color combination to order…white and papaya…or white and feather grey…or copper…too many options!

I’ve highlighted organic items from West Elm here on orGLAMic before, but as they continue to expand their offerings I am compelled to do so again. I love that a mainstream manufacturer is making the effort of going organic, and that all the wares are reasonably priced. Actually, I love some of the new items so much, I’m going to dedicate the next few days to West Elm’s organic collection.

Let’s start off the week with these positively orGLAMic ikat towels. Ikat is absolutely of-the-moment and I while I usually run away from patterns I love the simplicity of the fawn and white. These tribal graphics on pure, organic cotton are patterned with earth-friendly, certified dyes. To purchase click here.

Veev

I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch party for an awesome eco-lifestyle website http://www.ecostiletto.com last night.  One of the party’s sponsors was Veev, the very orGLAMic and tasty spirit.  Veev is the world’s first acai spirit.  Acai is thought to be one of the healthiest fruits on the planet and is loaded with vitamins C & E.  It also has 57% more antioxidants than pomegranates and 30 times more than red wine.  Veev, the company, is the only certified carbon-neutral spirits company in the world…so if you want to get drunk and still be orGLAMic click here!
