orGLAMic - almost always organic, always glamorous!

Yumi and Laurie

Appeal to the softer side of dad with a large, luxurious, organic blanket by Yumi and Laurie.  These throws are made from 100% certified organic cotton and bamboo.  They come in a ton of beautiful colors and patterns, but my orGLAMic favorite is the rich orange pictured above.  Best of all, the bamboo makes them naturally antimicrobial and excellent for people that have allergies.  Check out the entire line of orGLAMic luxury by clicking here.

Pottery Barn’s Botanica collection is the latest to offer eco-friendly furniture on a budget, and we here at orGLAMic couldn’t be happier.  Everything was thought of in the creation of the sofa shown above.  It is framed in durable kiln-dried FSC wood, the springs are made of recycled steel covered in protective burlap, and the cushions are made of a blend of down, feathers, and fiber from recycled plastic bottles encased in a 100% unbleached cotton ticking. The sofa is available in three orGLAMic colors, all in organic cotton faille upholstery (walnut, pictured above, is my favorite).

Scrapile is the collaboration of two furniture designers that have developed a unique method of collecting and repurposing discarded scraps of wood from New York’s woodworking industry.  Because of the materials used, each item is unique in it’s coloring, which adds to the orGLAMic element.  I love the juxtaposition of the earthly materials and the sleek lines of the elegantly designed desk pictured above.  Available at several outposts nationwide, including the a-ma-zing ABC Carpet & Home, you can browse the entire line of one-of-a-kind products here

Q Collection is a furniture line that is concerned with making furnishings that are “better for you, your home, and our planet,” and they manage to accomplish their goals and not sacrifice good taste.  Their furniture is made of only natural, non-toxic materials that are designed for superior air quality, and they only use FSC (Forest Stewerdship Certified) wood and biodegradable materials.Having been on the hunt for the perfect sofa - modern and sleek but still comfortable enough to curl up to a movie on - I was thrilled to come across the Emily Sofa (pictured above).  Browse the eco-friendly furniture, fabrics, and accessories by clicking here.
